Bible Question: So I still don't feel my question has been answered, you are saying that no one will come to be saved unless the Spirit draws them(on which I agree), so if a person refuses to accept the gift from God because they feel they won't change or don't want to be in the situation to change can we blame them and continue in their words to badger them or should we just pray for them? |
Bible Answer: We certainly pray for the lost but Paul is saying not to have fellowship with them, after all what does light have to do with darkness or righteousness with unrighteousness?(2 Cor 6:14) A hypocrite is a person who says one thing but continues to do another but that's not Paul's focus. Some of them could have been saved but it is our responsibility to separate ourselves (the local church) from sin (5:9-11) And God will the ultimate Judge of man's salvation (5:13a). I truly believe that God has predestined men and women to be saved, so that means those who refuse are not chosen. If God doesn't prepare our hearts to respond we never will (Acts 13:48). Jayell |
