Subject: should a catholic marraige be sanctified |
Bible Note: Country Girl I'm in no way defending Catholicism nor does it need it. I never understood the Pope speaking infallibly and what I was taught in the Protestant church made it seem totally wrong. However after I read what it really means and not what many thinks it means I understood it better. I still have an issue to some degree with the concept, the Pope has done it so infrequently that it is almost a none issue. However I see no real difference in this than if the head of a denomination says thus and such. Everyone in the denomination falls in line with the new doctrine or they seek another denomination. While we don’t claim infallibility we still accept it as gospel. I guess the real issue is should we be submitted to the leadership over us or not. Most everyone will say if we agree yes and if we disagree with the leadership then no. My question then is that really being submitted to leadership or are we actually making ourselves leaders? EdB |
