Subject: Bible version can become an idol? |
Bible Note: My brother in the Lord, Studying the whole Bible (OT and NT) is EXACTLY what I've been doing. For a change, I have been reading and learning about the Torah (Law) and the Tanakh (OT) without having it filtered through 2,000 years of Gentile Christian teaching and commentary. You write: "how do you reconcile these scriptures with your insistance that the OT is still applicable to us today?" Rowdy, I have posted several Notes to you explaining and defending my understanding of the believer's relationship to the Law. In my answers, I have included much Scripture. So, considering the Scriptures I've already provided, my question for you is: How do you reconcile THESE Scriptures with your insistence that the OT is NOT applicable to us today?" '...I already told you and you would not listen. Why do you want to hear it again?...' (AMPLIFIED John 9:27) Rowdy, I appreciate you and your interest. And I do not wish to be drawn into a debate. In more than a dozen recent posts I have said what I have to say and explained what I can explain regarding the Law. I assure you my mind always remains open to the Word of God in its entirety, as I am sure yours does also. Once again, thank you for your interest and input. Grace and shalom, kalos |
