Bible Question: What are Calvins and Arminians? |
Bible Answer: Calvinism is what we usually use as a point of reference to describe those who believe that God is sovereign over all things in universe including our destiny in eternity. In other words, those who are calvinists would say that you have been chosen by God to salvation and based on that, you have been made able to believe (what I think is true). Arminians are the exact opposite in the domain of salvation and are inclined to teach that we can lose our salvation. I think that they are out of context when they say that, but the debate is open since the 16th century. I don't think that we'll be able to settle it by our discussion. |
