Subject: LEFT BEHIND? |
Bible Note: New Creature, in my view Tim LeHaye unwisely swallowed the bait in answering that question regarding how much of his books are fact and how much fiction. I look with a jaded and jaundiced eye upon seeing claims of this sort. Both their logic and their accuracy are equally questionable it seems to me. So what he seems to be saying, as I try to put together what he was in fact saying, is that on the average half of what he has written is false but is balanced by the other half, which is true. That strikes me with the same soothing logic that says, If you immerse one hand in a bucket of boiling water and the other in a bucket of ice water, on the average you are going to be quite comfortable. As I've posted before, I'm not a fan at all of the "Left Behind" series, but I have no bones to pick with those who are, not by any means. But I would append that the more I think about this series of books, the more I tend to enjoy not reading them! --Hank |
