Bible Question (short): So who is right? |
Question (full): Two sincere believers read the same Bible. After prayerfully reading, studying, mediatating, and trusting for the Lord's guidance in properly interpretaing the Bible, these two come away with differing theological perspectives, and doctrines. Both find Bibical support for why they believe the way they do. Is it possible that: A) one of then is wrong? B) both of them are wrong? C) both of them are only partially correct in their understanding? D) both are holding onto only half of the whole truth? E) other? "Whatever is only almost true is quite false, and among the most dangerous of errors, because being so near truth, it is more likely to lead astray. Precise knowledge is the only true knowledge, and he who does not teach exactly, does not teach at all." (H.W. Beecher) |
