Bible Question: do angels sing? if so, what ch./verse |
Bible Answer: Just an interesting observation: The NIV says in Rev. 5:12 In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!" The KJV says in Ezekial 28:13-15 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. This has been taught that this is referring to Satan when he was Lucifer and that the tabrets and pipes referred to in verse 13 are referring to musical instruments meaning Lucifer was the heavenly choir director. If this is true then Lucifer having been an angel at least played music and it word stand to reason that others [angels] sang. As someone has pointed out, this a traditionally held view not necessary proven by scripture and therefore in need of additional study and reseach. Hope this helps. Bows44 |
