Bible Note: Greetings Bows44, Hope you are having a good day. Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. I've been taught that there were four types of spirit beings that God created: 1. Archangel 2. Angel 3. Seraph (Seraphim) 4. Cherub (Cherubim) If (And I believe that this is talking about Satan, just as you do.) this is talking about Satan, then Satan wasn't an angel but a Cherub. The Cherubim were placed outside the garden of eden to guard it so Adam and Eve could not re-enter and eat of the tree of life. They are described in Eze 1:5-11 "Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass. And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle. Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies." This same discription is repeated in Rev 4:7-9. They Ride on and illustrate the magjesty of God 2Sa 22:11 and their wings sound like the voice of God Eze 10:5. In Rev 5, the beasts are cherubs. So if what you are refering to here as singing, then Cherub sing, but still not clear about the angels themselves. Your brother, Russ |
