Subject: Jesus Created or Creator??? |
Bible Note: He only asks of us what he (the humanity of Christ) had already overcome. Jesus was the pioneer of our faith. He forged and proved the way for us by faith, the means to over come the world. That is, our faith (the Word of God made alive in our thinking), we have been given the mind of Christ(1 Corinthians 2:16)! In the Greek the word commonly translated "mind" can also mean "thinking." We have been given his faith. He is the Word (John 1:1). The Word became flesh (John 1:14)... We now have been assigned to learn the Word in an accurate sound way. We will be tested by God's plan to see if what we have learned from the Word (faith) is sound and genuine. "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. "(1 Peter 1:6-7niv®) If we steadily receive truth and are walking in the Spirit we will become overcomers like Christ was an overcomer (of evils in the world). But, if we choose rather to follow after the commonly accepted mainstream popular false teachings that abound today (2 Timothy 4:3) we will not overcome evil, but will be overcome by evil as we conform and are warmly accepted into a system disguised itself in sheep's clothing. Many today have a distaste for sound doctrine. Many want to be told that they are OK in their natural thinking towards who and what Christ is. Many do not want the real Christ. For the Truth requires we deny self and take up our cross in order to follow Him. He is the Word (John 1:1). " For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear." (2 Tim 4:3 niv®) Wide and broad is the way that leads to destruction of the believer's spiritual life. There is provided a broad and wide spectrum of ways to please the many various natural inclinations of believers. Jesus said that only a few will find it. Find the way that leads to his promised "life abundantly." This is to be the maturity in Christ that imparts the capacity to enjoy and experience life to its fullest. So, if we refuse to deny self now we will be refused his life in our experience later on. We must lose our natural way of thinking so that we may gain Christ by sound doctrine (faith teachings). " For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD . " (Isaiah 55:8) Many form denominations and cults because they think God must think like they do. That he must love what they love. The Word is full of shocks and surprised to those who accurately follow after Christ in his Word. Unfortunately, there are those who already know it all (" God must think like we do"). Many have self satisfaction and a pseudo sense of security in numbers. Yet, those who overcome have overcome them as well. Grace and truth, GeneZ |
