AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Peter 1:2 ¶ according to the foreknowledge of God the Father by the sanctifying work of the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ and to be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace [that special sense of spiritual well-being] be yours in increasing abundance [as you walk closely with God]. Subject: Why can we not just be Christians? |
Bible Note: Thank you dear brother, for such words of wisdom and insight. I have yet to read the responses to your note. I pray that I could be pleasantly surprised, but I fear that they will not only support my doubt, but deepen my reasoning for originating this post. What doubt one might ask. The doubt that in such a generation as this, even a small majority of those who call themselves by the name of the Master, will not be among those spoken of in Luk 13:27. Why can we not concentrate on the foundation of the Gospel, and what our Master stated in Mat 6:33? Would not, all these other matters then be taken care of? NYP |
