NASB | James 3:1 Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | James 3:1 Not many [of you] should become teachers [serving in an official teaching capacity], my brothers and sisters, for you know that we [who are teachers] will be judged by a higher standard [because we have assumed greater accountability and more condemnation if we teach incorrectly]. |
Bible Question: How can we know if a teacher is teaching what is right according to God's will or not? |
Bible Answer: The Bible is Right, Makarios is correct. This means you need to study and search Scripture daily. When a teacher says something, look at a broader context, not just the one given. If you see something amiss, or don't understand, ask the teacher. They need to be able to prove what they say is true. Sometimes they just teach what they have been told ... they failed to checj the Bible. Some to it diliberately. Searcher |
