NASB | James 3:1 Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | James 3:1 Not many [of you] should become teachers [serving in an official teaching capacity], my brothers and sisters, for you know that we [who are teachers] will be judged by a higher standard [because we have assumed greater accountability and more condemnation if we teach incorrectly]. |
Bible Question (short): do teachers agree on issue of lost salva |
Question (full): Some teachers who are believers strictly teach that salvation once received can not be lost - some 'fruit' can be lost - joy, peace, even some blessings - but they teach that salvation can not be lost.....can someone help me with this? scripture, thoughts??? Is salvation truly secured from God with the 'confession that Christ is personal savior, that Christ is the son of God and that Christ died for our sins on the cross and was resurrected'? or do we as believers have to perservere in obedience to the end before salvation is insured? and what of the teachers that teach the 'wrong' message....this would seem to be an essential message for teachers to get 'right' and there remains quite allot of disagreement among teachers on this issue. |
