NASB | James 3:1 Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | James 3:1 Not many [of you] should become teachers [serving in an official teaching capacity], my brothers and sisters, for you know that we [who are teachers] will be judged by a higher standard [because we have assumed greater accountability and more condemnation if we teach incorrectly]. |
Bible Question: Some teachers who are believers strictly teach that salvation once received can not be lost - some 'fruit' can be lost - joy, peace, even some blessings - but they teach that salvation can not be lost.....can someone help me with this? scripture, thoughts??? Is salvation truly secured from God with the 'confession that Christ is personal savior, that Christ is the son of God and that Christ died for our sins on the cross and was resurrected'? or do we as believers have to perservere in obedience to the end before salvation is insured? and what of the teachers that teach the 'wrong' message....this would seem to be an essential message for teachers to get 'right' and there remains quite allot of disagreement among teachers on this issue. |
Bible Answer: Salvation when you received it is impossible to lose it. I think salvation is not a simple thing that sometime you have it and lost again and again. But we have to be reminded that being save is between you and God. The question is are we really saved. If we are save, we are belong to the flocks of Christ, and no one can fluck us from His father hands: Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. So if you are save, how can you lose it if is Christ gave the assurance that no one can pluck them out from His Fathers hand? The questions maybe raise that how about those person that sometimes being a member of the church received baptism but after a while become a backslider? If we notice those person sometime become worse than before, they commit horrible crimes such us rape, murder, and other form of evil that only not save person can do? The question again is are they really recieved the salvation? Here I cannot judge them only God can justify that. Here is my explaination regarding that. If we are a save person it is impossible for us to commit those evil thing because as Paul said: Ga 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. If we received salvation it is Christ live in us, if Christ live in us it is impossible to lose salvation once you received it. I hope it would help God bless, Johnny |
