NASB | 2 Timothy 1:12 For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Timothy 1:12 This is why I suffer as I do. Still, I am not ashamed; for I know Him [and I am personally acquainted with Him] whom I have believed [with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in the truth of His deity], and I am persuaded [beyond any doubt] that He is able to guard that which I have entrusted to Him until that day [when I stand before Him]. Subject: Choose according to preference? |
Bible Note: Greetings Doc! In your quote, to which post I attached the question, you quoted Matt Perman (165815). I have heard this theory before, so I was just curious as to how you thought it related to Rom. 7:14-25. The theory says that one always chooses according to one's greatest desire. Yet, Paul says in Rom. 7:14-25, the person Paul describes does not choose to do what he wants, rather he chooses what he does not want. Just curious! Have a great day my friend!
