Bible Question: Thank you Robert: But if I believe all Scripture is inspired by God, then I must take 1 Tim. 4:1 for what it is worth. When Scripture says in 1 Tim. 4:1 that in the latter times some shall fall away from the faith, it does not say here that some false professors will fall away. It simply says some will depart (leave) the faith. Again I ask; how can one fall from a height which he never attained. Can I fall from a ladder without first being on the ladder? I cannot fall from a ladder I merely profess to be on. I must actually be on the ladder before I can fall from the ladder. I cannot fall upward. I must believe scripture, that there will be those who depart from the faith, and if even one could depart from the faith then others could also. |
Bible Answer: I am agree with you, there are tendency of falling that is why Desciples reminding us to be watchful and vigilant!: 1Pe 5:8 ¶ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Apostle paul also said: 1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. If we are very confident that we are save, and not thinking that there are tendency of falling it is dangerous. I do believed that Jesus Christ said no one can snatch His flocks from His hands: Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. But we have to know the definition of Christ of whom are considered belong to His flock. And Christ define that those will be save are those who stay forever in Him: Mt 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. So it is hard to define who are save or not. Who are those belongs to the flock of Christ or not. Who will justify that we are save you, me, others. Jesus mention that Mt 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. So it is God can define whose belong to his flock! If we stay with him forever, we consider save. God bless, Johnny |
