Bible Question (short): some more things to consider... |
Question (full): hmmm... well then how do you apply literally from OT (or even NT) texts like: OT examples of stoning, etc, etc... numerous examples of OT law that we "me-vangelicals" (myself included) like to explain away, but then use the NT more conveniently for its ability to literally translate doctrine in the modern context. do you handle all of God's Word the same? I am digging here, but be assured I come from a conservative PCA backround and am in the midst of a church plant where the issues are beginning to divide... especially over the women and Holy Spirit issues. No fun right now to be honest. Bigger fish to fry in my opinion. |
