Bible Note: Hi, Brad! Thank you for the encouragement! I'm not familiar with Anderson, but I'll check him out on your recommendation! Yeah, I've puzzled over those "limiting" objections. Some Schmo once asked me that old thing about "Can God make a rock too heavy for Him to lift?" He gave me one of those, "Gotcha now!" looks. I said, "No, God cannot do anything contrary to His own will." He looked at me blankly for a moment and made that "limiting God" objection. Did you explain to that lady in your Sunday School class that "No, ma'am, I have never been able to put any limits on God. What I was talking about was His putting limits on Himself according to His eternal purpose and divine pleasure." Or something along those lines? :-) In Him, Doc |
