Subject: no physical death? not sinners? |
Bible Note: Hi stj...good to hear from you.Adam died in the day he ate,we know that this was spiritual because the Lord sent him out of the garden after he ate.He was still physically alive. His condition or nature was spiritual death. If you tell me that Jesus died for my sins that's good news, but if you tell me that Jesus died to destroy the old man or nature that produced those sins, that's really good news.Where did this take place? At the Cross!Jesus's redemtive work at the Cross removed our old man,old self,or our old nature, which was spiritual death. It was our sinful nature.Rom.6:1-7....Next question would be how did he do that? 2Cor.5:21.He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us,that we might become the rightousness of God in him.Jesus removed that condition by becoming the condition that we were as a result of Adam's disobedience.Rom.5:18,19 and died, destroying that nature. But he didn't stay dead,He was made alive...Rom.6:10,11.says we're dead to sin......You were a sinner, now you're saved through faith in Jesus Christ, therefore you have become a NEW CREATION IN CHRIST.That's why I don't believe in two natures.......PDAL. |
