AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 4:11 And [His gifts to the church were varied and] He Himself appointed some as apostles [special messengers, representatives], some as prophets [who speak a new message from God to the people], some as evangelists [who spread the good news of salvation], and some as pastors and teachers [to shepherd and guide and instruct], |
Bible Question (short): Invalid 'gifts?' |
Question (full): Point well made. I believe that the ministerial gifts spoken of in Ephesians 4 are valid today, though often misunderstood, misused or abused. It has been put to me that they are no longer valid or needed in this day. If you believe they have been done away with, please tell me when and by what authority. Scripture, please. |
