Bible Note: jaydnson - You wrote, "I read that God does not hold you accountable of salvation thru Christ if you don't know these laws or teachings...And if you live a decent life (not knowing Christ) you can still enter the kingdom." ..... Since this is, after all, a study Bible forum, please tell the forum on what verse(s) of what chapter(s) of what book(s) of the Bible you base your statements. ..... Surely they can't be based on Acts 4:12 which says, "And there is salvation in no one else [but Christ], for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." .... Nor on the words of Christ in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.'" ..... And not on Ephesians 2:8,9, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." And, again, you could not have based your conclusions on John 3:18, "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." ..... --Hank |
