Bible Note: Greetings BP, The antithesis of parish, in 2 Peter 3:9, is “repentance”, designated by the superordinate contrastive conjunction (alla) in the Greek or (but) in the English. 2 Peter 3:9 (B) not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. I think it would be interesting to hear your outtake on the word, repentance, i.e. (metanoia), from an Oxford point of view, assuming that Strong’s 3340 and 3341 wouldn’t be the suggested route? Have a good day, CDBJ |
