Subject: What does judgement look like |
Bible Note: Dear Bill: You have taken this verse Matthew 7:21 out of context. The passage in which the verse you quote is in the context of a false prophet. Christ is teaching us how to identifying a false prophet. He has told us in many other passages to beware of those who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk so to speak. The passage is not about salvation and how to be saved. It is about being a disciple of Christ and the warnings against those who try to lead us, teach us in the wrong way. They profess to know Christ but are hypocrites. They have an agenda of their own, to deceive for whatever reason; money, power, prestige, etc. Notice Christ tells us how to identify them and that is by their practice of life, how they continually walk which is according to lawlessness not according to righteousness. Again this passage is not about salvation however it shows you these false prophets do not have salvation and what happens to them; they will be cut down or die in their sins. Sincerely, Val |
