Subject: Does sin prove one is not a believer? |
Bible Note: Hi, David... Your hermeneutic is neither sound nor orthodox. One simple example: 1 John 3:9 says that the believer does not sin. Yet he affirms in the first chapter of that epistle, that God cleanses us when we do sin. Christ's atonement was for the sins of the elect. The OT believers looked ahead to it, we look behind for it. If God had not made this provision, then none would be saved but OT believers! Even Paul sinned! I think this comes of hanging around Church of Christ, SDA, Weslyian Holiness, or some other Arminians much too long, Dave. We take the full word of God. Much has already been written on this topic.
