Bible Note: There is new things being discouvered every day however I'm presently reading the a book on apologetics by Josh MacDowell that mentions it. Also some of the newly released material of the Dead Scrolls now reveal fragments of all( I think) of the Apocyrpha has been identified. Here is just a brief excerpt from MacDowell's book with Bibliography info should you want to reda it for yourself. The advocates point also to the Dead Sea Scrolls to add further weight to their belief in the Apocrypha. Among the fragments at Qumran are copies of some of the Apocryphal books written in Hebrew. These have been discovered alongside the Old Testament works. McDowell, J. (1997, c1991). Josh McDowell's handbook on apologetics (electronic ed.). Nashville: Thomas Nelson. |
