AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 3:15 But if any person's work is burned up [by the test], he will suffer the loss [of his reward]; yet he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has barely escaped] through fire. [Job 23:10] |
Subject: Why do they prey for the deads salvation |
Bible Note: Jerome, who translated the Apocryphal books into Latin, explicitly said they were non-canonical. Is he Bias too. Only two ancient councils and those not widely authoritative approved the Apocrypha. A later one was the Roman Catholic Council of Trent in 1545. Paul acknowledges that God gave the oracles to the Jews and the Jews do not canon the Apocrypha. No where do God take that away from them. Saved or not. |
