Bible Note: Greetings Angel! I am not sure I understand all of your points my friend. The writers of Scripture wrote under Divine inspiration. There writings are Scripture. They did not need Scripture as a basis for what they wrote, for what they wrote was given to them directly from God. So, yes, I do believe that we cannot make statements that are not found in Scripture and claim that they are Scritpure. In the post that began this thread, you said that suicide was a rejection of Christ. I asked you to show me where Scripture says this. The simple answer is that Scripture does not say this. Therefore, your statement of opinion does not have the authority of Scripture to back it up. Another poster said that real Christians cannot commit suicide. Again, I asked where does Scripture say this. This is what I meant when I spoke of going beyond what Scripture actually says.
