Subject: What do you mean by "you allow"? |
Bible Note: Hey bro, Lets see if I can get this out without botching it up to bad.Hopefully I'll be able to make a little sense of this. Before I was a christian control was at the top of my list.I had to be in control all the time.It took me the better part of forty plus years to figure out that I was never in control, never had control. So if it wasnt me or anyone else that left me with only one other answer and that was God.I never understood that until I humbled out and let God work with my heart.God has always been the one in control not me.So I dont know that we give God permission to do anything,We submitt,we bend our will to his and repent. Then God accomplishes his will in our lives and thats good for everyone concerned.God is soverign no matter what we think.Secondly a lot of people go to (Romans 8:26,27 )when it comes to speaking in tongues. What I see here and correct me if I'm wrong is how Gods Spirit works within us and is working in us. Again at the risk of being off the key word in (Acts 2:4) is enabled or in some transelations it is stated gave them utterence. What they did came from and was done in the power of the Holy Spirit. Maybe you can help me understand better. There have been many times Gods Spirit has been guiding me and working in me and I've just flat out refused to do what God was wanting me to do. Am I on the right tac here or amI thinking of something entirely different. Teach me brother I'm open to what ever you are willing to show me. In Christ, lionheart |
