AMPLIFIED 2015 | Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, "Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. |
Subject: imuvhim, What is His baptism? |
Bible Note: imuvhim, I did not necessarily expect you to agree with me, I was just making it clear what I believed. As for your question: " do not think this: "Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua),[4] and the door which gives access to the other sacraments." Access to other sacraments? Does that mean no marriage if not baptized?" Yes, but why would one even consider matrimony a sacrament and want to be a party to it if they do not even believe in the sacrament of baptism? There is always the Justice of the Peace or plenty of others who would be willing to perform the ceremony. |
