Bible Answer: Hi, Did Philip obey Jesus in Acts 8? I think so. The Bible don't say they went down into the Holy Spirit, they went down into water. Do you not know that Christians get baptized into water? If you don't know that Jesus baptized in water Jordan then you are mistaken sorry to say. Stronges says on baptism ---- "used only (in the N. T.) of ceremonial ablution, especially (technically) of the ordinance of Christian baptism:" That tells that you are wrong. Don't misunderstand because I'm not one of those works people. My pastor said works aren't important. To get eternal life you don't do nothing. You don't have to do a thing like Abraham who was a Believer. Abraham didn't get baptized did he? Sorry to say no. But if Jesus told him to I bet he would. That's my opinion. |
