AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 8:24 "That is why I told you that you will die [unforgiven and condemned] in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am the One [I claim to be], you will die in your sins." [Ex 3:14; Matt 24:5; Mark 13:6; Luke 21:8] |
Subject: I am Who I am in New Testament |
Bible Note: Why do you accept Isaiah 42:8 over Ex 3:15 both places have God's clear proclamation that this is his name. In Ex 3:15 it is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In Isaiah 42:8 his name is declared to be Lord or Yahweh. Either one could be considered a name or a title. Tetragrammaton was considered to be the Jew's attempt to write something they were not permitted to write or speak. Much like they do today by using G-d. With the Ex3:15 passage being the most defining and definite there is little doubt of who we speak. |
