AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 4:14 "But whoever drinks the water that I give him will never be thirsty again. But the water that I give him will become in him a spring of water [satisfying his thirst for God] welling up [continually flowing, bubbling within him] to eternal life." |
Subject: AO, was His John 3 not in effect? |
Bible Note: Greetings AO! No one disputes that baptism is commanded of Christians. The dispute centers on the question of whether or not baptism is necessary for salvation - i.e. - no baptism, no salvation. Notice that not one of the verses you cited actually says that one must be baptized to be saved. They simply speak of the command to those who have already repented to be baptized. We all agree there. But, speaking of what the Apostles taught, Acts 16:30-31 clearly spells out what is required for salvation. :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
