Bible Note: Of course it is legitimate to ask questions. But you failed to share with us what parts of the gospels you believe, and why you choose to believe those parts and not others. And it is our job to believe, by the way: "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life." --John 5:24 "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." --John 3:18 "These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed--for our testimony to you was believed." --2 Thesalonians 1:9-10 "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." --Hebrews 11:6 And it is God who grants us this belief: "For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake" --Philippians 1:29 God's grace and faith in Him do not originate with us, but with Him. Your lack of belief will be your undoing, because your questioning does not seem to arise from a desire to embrace and grasp the truths of God, but rather to "prove the Bible wrong."
