Subject: why was the thief saved without baptism? |
Bible Note: Country Girl: To make a small point contrary to your conclusion, it is clear from Scripture that "there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were ALL filled with the Holy Spirit..." (from Acts 2:2-4). It is perfectly clear from Acts 1:13 that all the Apostles except Judas Iscariot were present. And 1:26 rounds the number out to twelve with the choosing of Matthias to replace Iscariot. Thus is becomes clear that on the day of Pentecost there was a full component of Apostles, i.e., 12, who were "ALL filled with the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:4). --Hank |
