Bible Note: Hi, J. Elkins! Perhaps it is too late and I am missing your point altogether... but let me share this with you: As the Lamb of God Jesus is bound by Scripture to fulfill all that the Son of man was comissioned to do (Matthew 3:15), and in order to accomplish everything required of Him Jesus gave up His Authority (Philippians 2:5-8) but not His Divinity (John 10:17-18; Matthew 9:6). Unlike us (and the disciples) Jesus is not bound by our limitations! Satan was not a fool when he tempted Jesus--he knew that Jesus could do whatever He pleased at any given time! So it is not surprising that Jesus, who is the Resurrection and Life, granted clear passage into Heaven to the man who confessed and believed that He was the Lord! God Bless! Angel |
