Subject: why was the thief saved without baptism? |
Bible Note: One more little tidbit that a lot of people don't seem to notice about this controversy of the Holy Spirit descending on Cornelius and his family is this. We should remember that when the HS fell on the Apostles "with cloven tongues of fire," they too HAD NOT been baptized either. As a matter of fact, it's NOT absolutely clear in scripture that ALL of the Apostles were indeed baptized but I have to believe they were. How could they preach this new Gift of Salvation based on obedience to God if they all had not obeyed God's Terms and Conditions themselves? We do know for a fact that Apostle Paul was baptized to receive salvation so that's good enough for me. Just my two cents' worth. You'll probably want some change back...;-) Blessings to you.
