Subject: WHERE are they taken? |
Bible Note: Hi, brother Kalos... Your comments got me curious about the very first post on the forum. But when you enter #1 in the search box, it says it isn't found. Do they eventually purge them? It would be interesting to know who the first poster was and what he had to say! :-) Based on averages, though, I'm a bit afraid of what I'd find! :-) Regarding the clarity of scripture, I hope you'll forgive my quoting the old divines again... but they said things so precisely and with such perspicuity! "All things in Scripture are not alike plain in themselves, nor alike clear unto all; yet those things which are necessary to be known, believed and observed for salvation, are so clearly propounded and opened in some place of Scripture or other, that not only the learned, but the unlearned, in a due use of ordinary means, may attain to a sufficient understanding of them. (2 Peter 3:16; Psalms 19:7; Psalms 119:130)" Of course, they admitted that the Holy Spirit was the ultimate guide. The problem today is that "ordinary means" are not as ordinary as they used to be! :-) In Him, Doc |
