Bible Note: Hello Dave, That depends. Are you trying to be saved by keeping a list of rules? Or are you trusting in Christ and Christ's finished work on the cross for your salvation. Do you mix grace with the law? Are you saved by grace but kept by the law? What is in a person's heart is revealed outwardly. If one likes the approval of man, likes recognition, likes to be seen and heard by others who is that person pleasing? Self or Christ. That is why these Pharisees, the unbelieving Pharisees were condemned. They cared more about their position and status than about the Christ who came to set them free from the power of sin. What I am talking about Dave is grace. Grace alone. Grace that paid a debt He did not owe to save a people who owed a debt they could not pay. Grace Alone, grace alone, grace alone. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. He died on a cross, He was raised from the dead, He ascended to heaven. He sits at the right hand of God. He is our great High Priest. He intercedes for us. He is more wonderful than all the words there are to express what He did for us. I urge all who read this to believe on Christ. Depend on Christ. Serve Him with all your heart. Obey Him. Love Him. It was their hearts that were wrong. Their hearts were cold as stone. Jesus saw their hearts. He saw what they were thinking. Read the whole story over and over again. Read the four gospels over and over again and you will understand them, the Pharisees and Christ my Saviour. Blessings, Val |
