Bible Note: Disciplerami, I think the context makes it clear John was referring to the Leviticus restrictions against taking the wife of your brother as a wife while he was still alive. I think Jesus was pointing people back to the original plan. As Jesus pointed out John was the greatest of the Old Covenant but the least of the New Covenant would be greater even than John.
