Subject: Why couldn't Herod have Herodias? |
Bible Note: Hi Ray, I really only have a few minutes, but did not want you to think I was not going to respond. First I have a question. You said,"Thy Word is Truth gives too much glory to the Son alone in my mind, even in a context outside of scripture." Since Jesus is praying to the Father and is speaking that the Father's Word is Truth. How is this giving too much glory to Jesus? When Jesus receive glory, the Father receives glory an when the Father receives glory, so does Jesus...they are one and are not in competitin of each other. Purhaps I do not understand what you are saying and you would clarify? Philippians 2 I see This is because we hold fast the Word of Life. Here again I see revealed scripture (scripture where one is enlightened by the Holy Spirit as Christ living in and transformung me into His image. Word/Jesus/Life 1John 4:1 "by this you know the 'Spirit of God: every spirit (human or angelic) that confesses that Jesus the Messiah (Christ) has come int he flesh is from God; and every spirit (human or angelic)that does not confess Jesus is not from God... You asked "Can I influence you to pencil in a change toward "His/Their word(scripture)are inseperable"? That makes sense because I do use the word scripture when speaking of the 'papyrus'but when using 'Word' I am unifying the trinity in the truth being presented. John 17:17 Jesus said Thy Word ia Truth, and John 1:1 Jesus is the Word come in flesh, and the the Holy Spirit in 11 Peter 1:21 the Holy Spirit speaks. Summary: God the Father IS and Jesus came presenting us the Father's Word by living example, and the sent the holy Spirit to reveal to our spirit the Word and transform us into the image of Christ who is the image of the Father. Good points to ponder, God bless |
