Subject: Why little sign of power in our churches |
Bible Note: DAIRYLEADER5 -- FYI, In the Preterist view, all events of Revelation were fulfilled during the days of either Nero or Domitan. The book therefore is concerned only with events of the first century. This view was developed by the Jesuits and is still held by many in the Roman Church and by some Protestants. It essentially reduces the Book of Revelation to little more than a relic of antiquity with no message for later generations..... I hold to the Futuristic (Premilennialism) belief -- that Christ will return to usher in the milennial age. This perspective is in harmony with the message of the entire Bible. Far fewer interpretive enigmas are engendered by this approach. There are in addition to these, two other interpretative approaches to Revelation, the Historical (Postmilennialism) and the Idealist (Amilennialism). --Hank |
