Subject: Isn't baptism needed for salvation? |
Bible Note: The thief on the cross was the last person saved under the old law and Jesus was his sacrifice for his sin. Jesus didn't say that until after his ressurection. So until Jesus died, the new covenant was not in effect until after Jesus "Gave up the Ghost" and rose from the grave. Jesus was the sacrifice for the thief's sin and like I said he was the last one saved under the law that said we had to have a blood sacrifice for remission of sin. So it is awesom to think that in essence his sin was just rolled to the cross next to him. instead of being rolled forward 1 year Jesus paid the ultimate price not just for him but for all of us, because of Jesus we no longer have to have a ram or sheep or dove to kill to roll our sins forward we can just go to him and ask him for forgiveness. God is good!!! |
