Bible Note: Larry, Read 1 John 3:1-3 then spend some time with God in prayer and then go back and read this passage of scripture again. Do you in your heart of hearts believe this? Now read it again before you answer this note. Now knowing that God cannot and will not lie, what gives you or me the right to hate ourselves. God doesn't hate us so why should we hate ourselves? Now before you go and tell me I couldn't possibly know what it's like, I DO! I've been under a doctor's care for almost four years now for depression. Let me tell you I have days where I don't want nothin from nothin, everyday I can think of a thousand and one reasons to hate and despise myself. I battle with this every single day of my life. But guess what, for every reason I can think of to hate or despise myself there's one I can find one not too. Everyone of em! And ya know what! It all points right back to God and His Son Jesus Christ. Go back to that passage of scripture I gave you. Now read it again. This is how God see's YOU and how He see's ME! Larry Is God telling the truth or is it all just a lie? Hebrews 6:18 tells us it's impossible for God to lie. Hmmm... Take a look at 2 Corinthians 12, study out 2 Peter and spend time in Psalms. When ones heart is embedded in God's Word Then we are able to see ourselves through the eyes of God. Larry this is a can do my friend! Philippians 4:13 always! In Him, lionheart |
