AMPLIFIED 2015 | Mark 10:21 Looking at him, Jesus felt a love (high regard, compassion) for him, and He said to him, "You lack one thing: go and sell all your property and give [the money] to the poor, and you will have [abundant] treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me [becoming My disciple, believing and trusting in Me and walking the same path of life that I walk]." |

Bible Note: PRECONCEIVED DOCTRINE - Another name for it is "I've already made up my mind so don't confuse me with the facts." ..... On this thread, in response to your same post to which I am now responding, Doc mentioned dualism. Do you know what dualism is and does? Dualism is the view that there are two fundamental but opposing realities in the universe. What dualism does is deny the sovereignty of God, that is, that He alone is the ultimate source of reality. Do you believe that God is absolutely sovereign? If you do, you cannot possibly hold to the view of dualism. I hope you will come to see clearly the heresy of the Word of Faith Movement and all its false teachings. I urge you to study very carefully the passages that Doc cited in his post on this thread. Doc asked you where you got your religious ideas. So do I. Surely you have caught on by now that heretical ideas will most surely be challenged on this Forum, and that no form of heretical teaching will be tolerated. Stick to orthodoxy, i.e., sound biblical exegesis. If you are not sufficiently grounded in Bible teaching to write on it, then by all means confine your participation in the Forum to reading what sound Bible teachers write (we do have a number of those kinds of teachers on this Forum) and to the asking of honest and sincere and forthright questions without inserting a bunch of rhetoric in them. --Hank |
