Bible Note: Again, I don't know too much about this, but here are some comments. You are right that paying tons of attention to externals isn't right. I totally agree. Yet at the same time God decided to put Song of Solomon in the bible and it is a pretty amazing story of beauty, the bueaty of a man and woman. External and internal. Solomon wasn't a great role model all the time, but it does show God must have a heart for beauty. The psalms say God is beautiful. Flowers are beautiful, the sea is, trees are, spiderwebs with dew. Did God make flowers to glorify him? Yes! Are they beutiful? Yes. Are the flowers clothed better the people? Yes! I think their beauty glorifies him. I think people are beautiful to God too, no matter what they look like. Does the external beauty of a woman glorify God? I think it can when it is mixed with purity. Yet internal is more according to the Bible. God doesn't look at what man looks at it says to find a servant. Yet external is beautiful too. I really don't know, I haven't figured it out yet.
