Bible Question: That was awesome and thank you for taking the time to respond that in depth. I really want to go into this with enough information, and in talking to my friend, they are coming back with "once saved, always saved". So once someone has repented, asked God to forgive them and asked God into their heart they are bound to heaven regardless of their relationship with Him or how they live their life. I do have some information, but would like to go in with more. Is their a link someone could give me more information on this topic? Thanx again to anyone for responding. |
Bible Answer: tmjt21: Welcome to the forum. Often when this question comes up the meaning behind this question is just as important. This has been dialouged many times and there are believers on both sides of this issue. Which ever outlook a Christian has should not cause reason for disfellowshiping with one another. Personally I am concerned that sometimes unless we take into account that there those who havea proclaimed faith that is not genuine. These fall by the wayside and depart form the faith. These that leave the faith, in reality has a flawed faith and were not born again. Those that remain, and abide in Christ Jesus, those born again, are eternalaly secure, sealed by the Holy Spirit and held in the Lord Jesus hand. If I were a person asking this question, perhaps I might really be asking how little can I do the be saved and still live a sinful life. I hyave found thsi to be the case on a few that asked me this question. John chapter 10 in reading the whole chapter will be a big help for you. I hope this helps. Blessings. justme |
