Bible Question (short): Definition of worldly sorrow? |
Question (full): 2Cor 7:10 "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death." Christ is prophesied as being a man of sorrows in Isiah (fulfilled in Mt 26:37,38). He couldn't have had the first kind of sorrow since He needed no repentance, so I think it's safe to assume it's the second kind. If we are exhorted to be Christ like, should we feel worldly sorrow as Christ did? (if my assumption is true). Your prayerfully submitted and scripturally backed answers much appreciated.
