Subject: Does the OT talk about resurrection? |
Bible Note: Yes, the verse is Daniel 12:1 where it describes the same thing that Paul is speaking of in II Thess. 2:7. The Holy Spirit is omnipresent and cannot be removed, it would contradict His essence. The timing in Daniel 12:1 is perfect due to what is said in the last half of the verse. When the wicked one is revealed at the start of the last three and one half years, Jesus called this the great tribulation. The time of Jacobs trouble for the Jews and the tribulation for believers is running concurrent. The Jews will head for the hills and the Antichrist will have a hard time getting at all of them so he will turn to those that keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. The Trib. will be cut short by the rapture but the Jews will have to finish out their 70th week, spoken of by Daniel before all Israel is saved. When the great trib. is cut short by the rapture that is the end of the times of the gentiles. I.e. the natural olive branch will be grafted back in again. CDBJ |
