AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 15:6 he is not to honor his father or his mother [by helping them with their need].' So by this you have invalidated the word of God [depriving it of force and authority and making it of no effect] for the sake of your tradition [handed down by the elders]. |
Subject: Is Catholic considered false religion? |
Bible Note: Justme, Catholics have their equivalents of Foxes Book of Martyrs which tell the stories of Catholics killed for the faith by Reformers. Thomas More and John Fisher amongs others by Henry VII come to mind immediately. And that is not to mention all the Anabaptists killed by Reformers and Catholics alike. It is a dark stain on all the Church. I don't bring up Catholic martyrs of the Reformation such as those hunted down, tortured and Martyred by Topcliffe under Elizabeth, or in other countries because I do not think it serves any of us well to compare Christian atrocities between us. Repentence is what is required by all parties. Emmaus |
