Bible Question (short): Comfort Zone? |
Question (full): What is this God calling us to leave our "comfort zone"? I hear this term being used today and would like to know what is considered the so called "comfort zone"? Is it different for everyone? Or is it a zone, a place that is the same for everyone that one must leave? I do not find the Christian life a easy path to follow. For me it has meant being ridiculed, belittled, feeling battered and raped because my convictions are held in contempt. What comfort am I to leave? The comfort I receive praying or reading the Word? I do not understand this term. Applying God's word in my life is a stretching exercise; it uses muscles I need from him to complete the exercise. Changing has never been easy. Where is this comfort being referred to? |
