Bible Note: Dear Matt, 1 Cor 8:9 But take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. Personaly I enjoy a beer or two after dinner. Now, if you consider that to be sinful then, if I were you, I would avoid doing so myself. You are free to abstain, and I am free to drink as long as it is in moderation. 1 Tim 3:8 Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, or addicted to much wine or fond of sordid gain, 2 Titus 2:3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, Of course if you can demonstrate from Scripture that I am breaking the Law of Christ, I will stand corrected. There has been quite a bit of discussion on this topic on the forum already. You may access it by using the search feature. I do appreciate that your concern is for the spiritual welfare of those who disagree. That's a good thing. But your answer must be backed up by scripture if you expect anyone to be persuaded. God Bless, John |
